On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited the Embassy of the Lithuanian Republic in Ukraine to express his condolences on the passing of former President and Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Brazauskas.

V.Lytvyn signed the Book of Condolences:

"History confirms that in the period of critical stages in the country, the politicians who assume leadership and act as ardent devotees of their nation and state emerge to prominence.

This image of President Brazauskas as a patriot, developer of Lithuania and a great friend of Ukraine, will remain in our hearts for ever!"
